Meilana Dharma Putra was born on May 1, 1982 in Sumatera, Indonesia. He obtained a BSc degree from Chemical Engineering Department, Gadjah Mada University in 2005, Indonesia. He got his MSc and PhD degree from Chemical Engineering Department, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia in 2010 and 2014, respectively. He received prize of best student from Indonesia Embassy in Saudi Arabia in 2014. He also got prize of scientific award from College of Engineering KSU and from King Saud University in 2014. Since 2006, he has been an official lecturer at Lambung Mangkurat University, the oldest University in Borneo Island, Indonesia. He was appointed as Head of Chemical Engineering Study Program since 2015. His research interests include selective fermentation, oxidative dehydrogenation of alkanes and recycling of used lubricating oil. He has contributed over 14 publications and is also a reviewer/referee to some reputable journals such as International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Chemical Engineering Communications and Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering.
